Hop into the retro-time-machine for this 80′s-tastic view of the future in Silverhawks! They’re partly metal, partly real, and 100% scientifically inaccurate. Thrill as people breathe in the vacuum of space! Delight in the laws of physics and biology being used as a punching bag! Gasp as April Von Lon cries like a little girl! LET’S WING IT!
I started making internet videos on a whim one day when I realized my newly-purchased laptop had a webcam. Luckily I've obliterated all traces of my first webcam-based humiliation and bribed several people never to speak of it again. I'd like to think I've gotten a little bit better since those first dark days, and surely only good things can follow in the wake of my determination!
That or I'll make more jokes about space-squids which self-propel via flatulence. I mean, that's pretty likely too.
For the record, the pilot was an hour long and later split into two episodes when the series proper began. All the good action stuff took place in the second half, and thus in episode two.
There is a bit of what a colleague calls “kid logic” (if I understand his term correctly) like being able to breathe in space, at least in Limbo Galaxy, and right in the clips you showed it said that they need to go cybernetic to make the trip from our galaxy to Limbo. Personally I enjoy the show even as an adult, and only some of that is nostalgia.
