I'm the co-owner of Nerd Vice. I sometimes produce content ... nerdy content. I'm a 25 year old woman from New Jersey. I love fashion and girly stuff. I consider "Super Mario Bros. 3" to be the perfect game, though "Silent Hill 2" is my personal favorite. I'm also happily married to this guy called Leon Thomas.

I agree completely, This game would’ve been interesting maybe if they made likable characters.
The game is seriously just Borderlands meets Dead Rising. It’s uncreative, and really not so fun, they designed the environment well, but the music sometimes just doesn’t fit the area sometimes, and is used to force a mood. Like the sad music in the life guard station, and any ‘safe spot’ in the game, like the sad piano music plays anywhere there is survivors, even that one jackass’s husband’s place where she’s hiding out, hearing sad plinky piano, with an annoying drunk woman screaming ‘I NEED CHAMPAGNE!’ is really just obvious they just threw the music in there.
It’s obvious they blatantly created a character for every ethnicity, just so no one would scream racism (something that plagued RE5 for example) but at the same time using every god damned racial stereotype in the world.
I’d say the most annoying thing about this game, is the fact that the game just had nothing of it’s own to really bring to the table, the 4 characters really have no interaction with each other, and the character you pick, is really just a class, seeing as the only VA you have is the annoying ‘IS THIS GUY ON CRYSTAL METH?!’ ‘I’M DYING HERE!’ and ‘Yes, I’ll do it’ crap and no actual character dialogue. The skill tree, the no actual character dialogue, and the annoying diablo-like weapon system, except with overly expensive repairs on weapons, that break overly fast, is just apparent they wanted to make a Borderlands rip off, and just use zombies to pull people in.
I mean sure, Left4Dead was a generic shooter with zombies, but atleast it brought something more to the table, and (atleast the first L4D) had likable characters, with very amusing to listen to banter inbetween them. This game had nothing.
Very disgruntled buyer,

Well said! I agree with everything you said 100%. This game is just an utter mess.
And I hate the champagne lady. Oh, how I hate the champagne, lady. ><
well i disagree, you are looking at this game from a awesome story point of view which it doesn’t have, but you say its not fun. well i think your crazy if you think Dead Rising 2 is fun and not this. dead rising WAS my favorite zombie game, well not any more. you also said it doesn’t bring anything new to the table, again i think you are wrong, the damage is very awesome in this game, you slice at the zombies arm and it slowly cuts little chunks of its limb off. if you the homerun base ball bat and get your friends YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST. yes the music is terrible, yes its not a dramatic story or campaign, and no there is little to no Horror at all. the game is still awesome imo, its all i will be playing until the BF3 BETA on the 29th.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
People really want to love this game because there’s so much potential and good ideas – and I get that. I do love the limb damage; but it is something I’ve seen before. Not in a zombie game, though. If it the hit detection were more polished, I’d say this game’s combat would be better the L4D’s – but the overall lack of polish and decent coding is what dooms it in my eyes. It feels like I’m swinging THROUGH zombies most of the time and it’s just … off.
Not only that, but there are glitches galore. More than I can even begin to name. The tone is inconsistent. The fetch quests and escort missions grow old.
I don’t think I’m crazy. I think I’m just a gamer who very much wanted this to excel – and it didn’t. I can understand why others enjoy it; but I can’t. Mediocrity and wasted potential is just too sad for me to enjoy. For now, I’ll stick with Dead Pixels as my zombie game of choice.
Again, thanks for watching and really thinking about this! Appreciated!
